I'm doing a happy dance.

I just uploaded my clipboard to 2Peas. I don't upload much stuff to there as I have to upload so many other places. But guess what. I made the Featured LO of the Day. WOO HOOO!!!! I'm just shouting it from the rooftops. Let's face it, it's not really a big deal but I'm chuffed to pieces. Just to pinch myself - he's a very poor screen shot, because lets be realistic, it won't be there tomorrow!

Yep! That's my clipboard..... happy happy happy.
Christmas is coming

I'm getting all fired up for Christmas. I've done more Christmas projects already this year than I have in any previous years put together.

I've seen a bunch of beautifully decorated trees on 2Ps and at Hobbycrafts that I wanted one of my own. Being as I'm far too stingy to use my scrapbook stash on one, I decided on a vintage model.

I decoupaged the cone first to hide any unsightly polystyrene which looked pretty good on its own. Each one of those 'leaves' are painstakingly cut, inked, curled and pinned to the cone. I've no idea how many there were, but I had very sore fingers.

I've glued a little birdie onto a skewer and Merry Christmas banner on cocktail sticks - a bit like Blue Peter.

Finally finished it all off with little beads and glitter. It's still a work in progress until I can find just that right thing that's missing.

From Zero to Hero

I joined the PTA last month to help raise funds for our under-funded school. I've been busy this week helping out with the School Fayre activities including making the banner for outside of the school.

On top of all this I volunteered to help organise the Carol Service for Beavers. I've gone from doing nothing to overload. Still it is fun and very rewarding.

Still got a Christmas thing going full strength. I've altered a clipboard for no other reason than I fancied doing something non-scrappy. I'm absolutely thrilled so far, although I'm not ruling out a few tweeks here and there.

The beautiful Melissa Frances papers have been in my stash for a couple of years but were just too gorgeous to use. Those slides are the ones I picked up at a car boot sale recently (see Pete I can use stuff I buy).

I've been told that a LO has appeared in Scrapbook Inspirations this month but my copy hasn't arrived yet.

Also got a new sketch over at Allyscraps. Sketch #3 is now available to play.

Rain rain go away.

It's cold and wet here - all day. We've been bowling this morning, and nothing else to do but snuggle in for the rest of the day. Still got my ironing done.

How about some stuff I've done for this month's DT at AllyScraps

I love Lolli in this red jacket - it really suits and makes her look very cute. The gorgeous Noteworthy collection from Making Memories is even more lovely IRL.

Lauren was so excited to start at school in September. She had to wait a whole 2 weeks after Jacob went back - she was so impatient. She still has some days where she doesn't want to go but on the whole she loves it.

Lastly, Sharon our American friend and her family are going back to the States (boo hoo). She is so lovely, good fun, kind, and very easy to get on with. Afternoon tea at mine on Friday with all the girls from school. Marion had come up with a wonderful idea of a photo album which everyone could write their messages. I of course, had to do a scrapbook page. I'm sure Marion could be a secret scrapper.

Ps. did you see the lovely birdies in those pictures. Just wait till I get a sunny day so you can see some more...

Shop till you drop...

Nicki & I went to Hobbycrafts Show yesterday at the NEC. It's our annual pilgrimage to all things craft. Yesterday was no exception. We're a bad influence on each other. We both had short shopping lists, but ended up coming home with embossing folders from Cuttlebug???? But they were really exciting...

We met the lovely guy from Imagepac who always makes us laugh whenever we see him. Just a good day was had by all.

Lauren & I went to see Angelina Ballerina in Birmingham recently. Our first ballet! It was delightful. Lauren & Anya had a real ball - laughing together.

I did this for the Sketch Spot at AllyScraps
I don't have many pictures from childhood but I did find a couple including one of my Dad. As I remember it Alistair and I came down one year to find the living room full of toys (or it seemed to me then). We had a Post Office, Etch-a-Sketch, Typewriter, Potter's wheel. I probably had these over several Christmases but it is a great memory all the same.

Whooo Hoooo!

Must be my lucky week this week. Not only did my AllyScraps box arrive (in just 6 days door to door - thank you post office), but I also won the Sketch Challenge #54 over at Pencil Lines

I am feeling just so Autumn at the moment (or at least my pages are). Just lovin' all the autumn goodies around.

As if to prove a point, I took Lauren pumpkin picking at hatton. I did a lousy job with my camera that day, so I only managed to salvage a few photos. This one is for AllyScraps. I love the Shabby Princess papers for Bo Bunny - they are so gorgeous IRL.

Here's what I did with that beautiful photo of Lolli in the leaves. I love the Basic Grey Mellow collection. This was dead simple but took ages to stick on all those tiny felt leaves.
