Happy Birthday Kay!

It was Kay's birthday at the weekend and she is about as girly as a girl can get. She loves all things pink and is one of the most fun, warm people you're ever likely to meet! (I know she'll be blushing when she reads this).

I made her a card and gift bag to wrap up her new Magnolia stamp. I know she won't mind me sharing it with you.

The card had to be pink of course (I can do other colours, honest!)

The tiny envelope and card is by Sizzix. I just love having a little cupcake poking out.

I also decorated the envelope with cupcakes (there's also one on the flap at the back). This made a really nice finishing touch.

The bag was a simple design which I did as a bonus to the workshop class yesterday.

My second project is also up at Bella Blvd blog now. Stephanie got some great shots of my layout.

For those of you who have popped in from Bella Blvd - HELLO! The web site where I made the handwriting font is YourFonts.com. You can make your very own font in minutes!

Thanks for stopping by.

Guest Bella Artista!

I was fortunate enough to become a guest Bella Artista at Bella Blvd. The ranges launched during CHA were simply divine. Beautiful colours and clean lines.

I have done 3 projects altogether which will be shown this week. Here's a link to my first project.

I hope you'll pop over to have a look!

Thanks for dropping in.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge is Recycle

I've used an old CD to create a little wall hanging thing (I'm articulate aren't I?!)

I just had to use another magnolia stamp. I particularly love this one of her holding the tag.

The moon is just handcut from some Bo Bunny loveliness.

Isn't she adorable?! *sigh* Hat's off to Mr or Mrs Magnolia who ever you are!

Just Magnolia has a Pink and Green challenge going on this week.

I made this card using a stamp I borrowed from Teresa. We're all so smitten with Tilda!

Photobucket

I particularly love the stripey socks that she wears.

I've just finished up a kit for Scrapbook Sisters crop on Saturday so I'll be back at the weekend with some piccies.

My Little Shoebox

Arrived in my kit this month from AllyScraps. What a joy to behold! The papers are so cute and the colours are fabulous.

When I saw the Prince Lane from the My Neighborhood range, I just wanted to scrap the little row of houses. That led me to thinking about the Van Morrison song which always makes me happy whenever I hear it.

So one thing led to another and hey presto! The weirdest shaped LO I've ever done! I masked circles (you know they're my favourite thing) with Distress inks before layering up the houses and borders from Prince Lane .

Photobucket

The lyrics from the song bounce along the top before finishing off on an acetate circle.

Photobucket

Obviously not the easiest thing to photograph!

Magnolia Vs Stampavie Week 21

I've been happily stamping and colouring away while I was on holiday so I need to use up some of my images. I'm lovin' Magnolia stamps as they are a real joy to colour.

This week's challenge is a sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch.

Photobucket

The paper is Mindy Teresawa (who is my absolute favourite digi designer).

I've also done a card for a party Lauren is going to tomorrow, which also fits in with the AllyScraps challenge - One for the boys.

Photobucket

The stamps are Stampendous and the paper is Mindy again.

Need to pack for the crop tomorrow so will have to catch up soon.

Purrrfect Projects at AllyScraps

Time is just flying by!

This week's purrfect project challenge is One for the Boys.

I tend to create projects that are quite girly - who can resist all those pretty things on offer? So to create something more masculine is some what of a challenge for me.

Firstly, Rita has created a gorgeous frame for a baby boy.

Photobucket

I love the idea of including the hand and foot print in the frame. And just take a look at the denim swatch and metal tag.

Photobucket

I'm obviously along the same wavelength as Rita, creating a frame for my DS. I've gone for a grunge/urban look to reflect his age. He still loves to play although he is definately growing up too fast!

Photobucket

I've stamped and painted over the patterned paper to give it a bit more grunge. The robots are by Stampendous.

Photobucket

So why not join in with this week's challenge? Create something for a boy or man. It can be anything such as a card, tag, gift, etc. as long as it's not a traditional scrapbook layout. See here for all the info. You'll get a entry into the monthly prize draw for every project you upload!

I can't wait to see what you do!
