Winter Inspiration for Creative Craft World

Each day in November, there is new inspiration to be found from Creative Craft World.

Today is my turn to share some inspiration with you.
I'm going to share a very simple (and inexpensive) technique to add a wintery feel to your pages and also other ways to add a touch of frost.

Snowflakes are a great design detail for wintery pages. I created a homemade stencil by punching a snowflake in scrap cardstock. Just try to leave as much space around it as possible.

I then spread texture paste through the stencil, but you can use gesso or PVA glue - obviously some mediums are a little easier to work with than others. I created several snowflakes around the page before sprinkling glitter all over.

I left my base to dry naturally, but you could use a heat gun to speed things up.

One of the other things I did to make it more wintery is to ink the title and top off with a little more texture paste and glitter. I just spread the texture paste with a coffee stirrer over the tops of the letters - the messier the better!

You can also add a little 'snow' to the centres of the flowers and leaves.

Well I hope that I have inspired you to try adding a little snow to your next layout or card!

Thanks for stopping by.
